This Privacy Policy explains how STRyde ("STRyde", "we", "us", "our"), a product of SportsTrackLive, handles information when you use the STRyde mobile application (the "App").
We designed STRyde to be offline-first: your activities are recorded and stored on your device, and the App is fully usable without an account or a network connection for its core recording, mapping and statistics features.

Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. This is used to authenticate you, to verify your account by email, and to allow password recovery.
Activity and location data
When you record an activity, STRyde collects GPS location data (coordinates, elevation, timestamps and derived metrics such as speed and distance). This data is stored locally on your device so you can view your history, maps and stats.
If you connect Bluetooth sensors, we also record the heart rate, cadence and speed values they report, associated with your activity.
Files you import
If you import GPX, TCX or FIT files, STRyde reads those files to add the activities they contain to your history.
Technical information
To keep the App reliable, limited technical information (such as app version and basic diagnostic data required for the App to function) may be processed.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and secure your account, verify your email and enable password recovery.
- Record, store, display and analyse your activities (maps, history, charts, stats, personal bests and rankings).
- Provide sensor-based metrics during and after recording.
- Maintain the reliability and security of the App.
Location permissions
STRyde requests location permission to record your activities. Where available, precise and background location access enables accurate and uninterrupted recording while the screen is off. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; doing so will prevent activity recording.
Data storage and retention
Your recorded activities are stored locally on your device in a durable cache and remain there until you delete them or uninstall the App. Account data (such as your email) is retained for as long as your account exists.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. STRyde relies on the following service providers strictly to operate the App:
- Mapbox — to render interactive maps of your routes.
- Email delivery provider — to send account verification and password-reset emails.
These providers process only the data necessary to perform their function.
Children's privacy
STRyde is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to the processing of personal data, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from such children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual activities at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored activity data from your device. To request deletion of your account and associated server-side data, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
